The Starry Night, Deep Sea, and Sandbar patterns and visual effects are achieved by layering 4 and 3 (respectively), studio-made, glazes in various application techniques.
This Birch pattern is painted by hand, individual to each piece, then layered with 2 studio-made glazes to create the surrounding snowscape on the exterior and a white interior. Similarly, the Sunrise pattern is painted by hand in two phases then fully covered in studio-made clear glaze to reveal jewel-like color on the exterior and the beautiful stoneware clay body on the cup's interior.
